sometimes living green can be dangerous

I totally bit it on my bike today.

My left knee.

My left elbow.

My right hand.

Damn railroad tracks.

Holy CRAP. Alcohol, bacitracin, gauze, in that order. And not the kind of alcohol you're thinking.

lsl: oh. i took some of that kind of alcohol also.

thanks for the concern everyone. the shower this morning was very painful, but things are already looking better than they did yesterday.

Ouch!

But, badge of honor!

Scrapes and bruises are nasty, but did you get that jangly, nauseous feeling afterward? That's what I remember disliking the most about wrecking, and sometimes it would keep coming back for a day or so...

totally. immediately afterward i felt weirdly lightheaded and like i was gonna vomit. it didn't go away until i got home and had cleaned them up.

i can't really figure out why either. just my brain overreacting about the wreck and possible damage to my person? a flood of adrenaline?

no clue.

I think you go into shock - like your body doesn't know how severe the trauma is, so you get the full dose of emergency hormones. Probably a good thing if you really did do some serious damage and need to stay conscious for a while to deal with it, but I hate that feeling.
